Task List Thursday

I mentioned that I use Outlook Tasks as my “Brain Dump” list. Every “to do” item is logged in Outlook tasks. I keep a paper to-do list of tasks I must accomplish this week on my desk. Using the “brain dump” list helps me eliminate some of my mind clutter.
While it is important to review your “brain dump” list, it’s really not practical to read the list everyday.
So, let me introduce you to Task List Thursday. On TLT, you print out your massive “brain dump” Outlook task and read it, item by item.
You may:
- cross off the items you’ve completed,
- decide which items get moved to next week’s current things to do list, or
- tag the tasks you can complete in 15 minutes or less (more on that later).
Reviewing your master to do list once a week keeps the review process manageable.
